Don't pay up-front, but seek out the best deal for you at the appropriate time, and keep hold of your own money. You also get more choice of where you sit the exam - so you can choose somewhere closer to home. Why borrow the money or pay in advance (plus interest of course) on examinations when there was no need to? Big margins are netted by organisations charging all their exam fees up-front - and hoping either that you won't take them, or it will be a long time before you do. Many training companies will require you to sit pre-tests and prohibit you from re-taking an exam until you've demonstrated an excellent ability to pass - which makes an 'Exam Guarantee' frankly useless.

Exams taken at local centres are around 112 pounds in the UK. Why spend so much more on fees for 'exam guarantees' (usually wrapped up in the course package price) - when a quality course, support and consistent and systematic learning, coupled with quality exam simulation software is what will really see you through.
